The 2017 series of The X Factor was as entertaining as ever, yet brought something unique to the table with several participants choosing to perform their own numbers week in, week out rather than follow the traditional ‘covers’ format. If you were hooked to Rak Su, Kevin Davy White, Grace Davies and co in the run-up to 2017 did you manage to catch them on stage at the Bournemouth International Centre on tour in February 2018?
The 2018 show was even more interactive, with the audience invited to vote for their nightly winner at each of the twelve shows.
The Ex Factor
You might have rapped along with the notorious Honey G and swooned at 5 After Midnight during the 2016 series of the X Factor. Perhaps you took Finland’s Saara Aalto into your heart, whooped when 4 of Diamonds were given another shot at the prize and joined the rest of the country in agreement that Matt Terry was a worthy winner.
Each year, the Bournemouth International Centre hosts the finalists in their series-wrapping live tour. In 2017 Bournemouth was one of a series of 15 dates featuring winner Matt Terry, runner-up Saara Aalto and third placed 5 After Midnight, plus Emily Middlemas, Four of Diamonds, Ryan Lawrie, Sam Lavery and, of course, Honey G!
If you’ve shared their journey from the room auditions to the arena, the nail-biting six-chair challenge and brutal Bootcamp through to the exotic judges’ houses and the slick live shows, there’s no better way to put it to bed than watching the final eight acts in the flesh before deciding on your own winner.
