For traditional Thai food a stone’s throw from the sea, check out Tiien, a Thai restaurant and lounge bar on St Michael’s Road. This high-gloss, yet laid-back venue is decorated with authentic Thai designs and scattered with warm and cosy candles (Tiien means candle in Thai).
The head chef only sources Thai ingredients to achieve the distinctive, fragrant flavours in its stir fries, curries, fish, meat, vegetable and noodle dishes. Signature dishes include the Weeping Tiger Cry Steak and there is a selection of set meals and party menus too.
Tiien Thai is luxurious in design but if you fancy all that flavour from the familiarity of your front room, you can order a takeaway too. A sign of its success? Two further branches – one in Westbourne and the other in Broadstone.
