If you’re after a traditional English pub to pass the time, to socialise or for some good old pub grub, The Porterhouse in Westbourne is just the ticket.
Quite out of sorts with its swish Westbourne neighbours, The Porterhouse preserves the Great British institution of the pub. It’s styled with wooden floors, an oak-panelled bar and a full range of Ringwood beers as well as regularly changing guest beers.
A good selection of pub games is on hand if you fancy a spot of cribbage or dominos and, of course, there’s a popular quiz on a Tuesday. Thursday nights are for live music and this carries on for Friday night to welcome in the weekend. There’s an open mic night on a Monday and a Meat Draw on a Saturday night to set you up for your Sunday roast.
