If Poole knows how to do anything well it’s how to throw a great summer bash for local people and holiday makers to enjoy. Summer Breeze on the Quay is a much-anticipated annual event which takes place on Thursdays throughout July and August each year. With street entertainment, live music, family activities and a spectacular fireworks finale, this completely free, fun festival runs from 7pm to 10pm supported by the various businesses lucky enough to be situated along Poole’s beautiful Quayside.
Each week there is a different line-up and theme so you could make this a regular fixture in your summer holidays calendar and experience something new every time.
The first event in 2017 on 27 July featured Rat Race and Samba Panashe, who got the summer started with a real holiday vibe. Subsequent line-ups included Poole Cycle Celebration and fearless acrobatics from Action Sports Tour on 10 August. The final event, on 31 August, saw legendary Mungo Jerry and Black Sheep take to the stage. Make sure you hang around for the fireworks show every week – a real jaw-dropper of a display that wraps the night up with a bang!
