The Russell-Cotes museum celebrated the festive indulgence of a traditional Victorian Christmas in December 2017. Across the weekend of 9-10 December the town’s most famous gallery by the sea threw open its doors with a Christmas Fair to leave the whole family feeling festive.
Visitors browsed a display of seasonal stalls heaped with festive goodies and gifts from local suppliers. Customers with little ones in tow could even make an appointment with the big man himself as Father Christmas himself made an appearance both days. If you were feeling a little peckish there were festive refreshments in the café, to be enjoyed while the kids turned their hand to a selection of Christmas crafts
Many guests made a whole occasion of it by add ticketing to the historic house to their visits. Normal charges applied but the beautiful Victorian decorations amidst its timeless collection of art and artefacts filled one and all with festive cheer.
