Russell Brand brought his much-anticipated Re:Birth stand-up tour to Bournemouth on 27 March 2018 sharing his musings and theories on surely his most important role to date – fatherhood.
Re:Birth explored the world in Brand’s unique way, wrestling with questions like: “What is real? Who are we?” And “Where did this baby come from?” During the course of the show he unravelled the matrix of modern media, politics, sexuality, fatherhood and death in his perpetual endeavours to understand life having just created a new one!
Brand explains: “How do we make sense of the madness of our lives once we become parents? What am I going to tell my daughter about conformity and responsibility? What happens if she grows up to be like me or, worse, date someone like me?”
If you’re catching the show elsewhere in the UK, prepare for the comedian’s trademark rock-star delivery and grandiose ponderings, this time with a fuzzy tint of new fatherhood.
Russell Brand’s visit to the Bournemouth International Centre was part of an epic 71-stop Re:Birth tour between April 2017 and November 2018 across UK and Ireland. Brand previously performed the show at the Poole Lighthouse theatre in April 2017.
