Revolution is a stylish chain of bars first established back in 1996 and now with 50 venues around the country. Bournemouth’s venue opened in 2012 right in the heart of Old Christchurch Road. It’s a great venue for after work drinks and nights on the cocktails, complete with dance floor and DJ if you fancy dancing the night away.
Bar for all reasons
The bar is a sprawling property, with previous incarnations including Bar Vin, the Orange Rooms and Sherbet. It was completely refitted on joining the Revolution chain and offers a classy backdrop for social gatherings and large nights out. If you’re familiar with Revolution bars, the Bournemouth branch offers the same impressive menu of cocktails, premium spirits and home-made vodkas you would expect at any of its locations.
By day, Revolution provides a spacious and comfortable atmosphere for you to meet and dine with friends, enjoy a business lunch or even sit out in the sun in the secret and surprisingly tranquil garden. The menu makes Revolution quite the venue for meals too. Besides your standard sandwiches, burgers and chips the team have crafted a tantalising and creative menu with tempting dishes like Vodka Chicken stone baked pizza and lobster ravioli.
If you come down on a Monday, you can enjoy the same delicious menu at 50% of the price all day and night. Food is served every day between 12pm and 10pm – covering midday snacks, after-work feasts and post-cocktail nibbles.
Revolution is a buzzing nightlife venue, with vibrant bar area, sociable seating and lively dance floor. Birthday parties and groups of stags and hens are more than welcome, as is fancy dress (non-offensive, at the discretion of the door staff), so you don’t need to worry about celebrating your night, your way. There is, of course a dress code so make sure your attire is smart/casual with smart footwear, no trainers. Sportswear is also a no-no regardless how athletic your shapes are on the dance floor!
The DJ plays a variety of music styles as a nod to its relaxed and unpretentious attitude. So, whether you’re into classic dancefloor tunes, current chart, RnB or anything in between, there’s a good chance you’ll be inspired to strut your stuff before the night draws to a close.
