Ensbury Park is a small, purpose-built, residential suburb located in the Ward of Redhill and Northbourne.
In the 1970s Bournemouth Borough Council bought Slade’s Farm (off Columbia Road) and created over 400 properties on site. These range from bedsits and flats to 3/4 bedroom houses. As such, the properties are all fairly new. Many have large gardens, patios and drives, and some feature stained glass and large bay windows.
There are three churches which serve the residents – St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, Ensbury Park Methodist Church and St Thomas’ Parish Church. There are several schools local to the area – as such Ensbury Park is an excellent area to buy a family home.
The area has plenty of green spaces: nearby Redhill Park features a playground, tennis court, bowling green and cafe – a great day out for the kids! The Stour Valley Nature reserve is also a short walk away, as are Redhill Common and Victoria Park. Slades Farm Skate Park and Recreational grounds are right on your doorstep – ideal for dog walking!
Residents have various convenience stores in the immediate area, and buses run frequently to Castlepoint shopping centre. The centre features shops, restaurants and a kids club, so you’re sure to find what you need!
