If there’s nothing that quite hits the spot on a meal out that the mighty steak, Miller & Carter steakhouse at Bh2 will be right up your street. The restaurant occupies a prominent corner of this magnificent building overlooking Bournemouth’s Exeter Road in sight of the Bournemouth International Centre and a short stroll from the beach.
Steak supreme
Proudly to fanfare its “unique steakhouse experience,” Miller & Carter offers 13 different cuts of 30-day aged British and Irish beef steak including ribeye, fillet, sirloin or perhaps an indulgent chateaubriand to share between two.
All steak dishes are cooked to your taste and served with parsley butter, seasoned fries, a slice of Miller & Carter’s signature onion loaf and a balsamic glazed beef tomato plus a lettuce wedge (topped with bacon and honey mustard, stilton and blue cheese, garlic mayonnaise and parmesan or classic cocktail with croutons) plus a steak sauce (beef dripping sauce, Porcini mushroom and black garlic, blue cheese and truffle oil, cracked peppercorn or classic Bearnaise).
While Miller & Carter is proud of its extensive steak selection there’s plenty of other choices to be found on the menu including juicy burgers, sticky barbecue ribs and freshly-prepared fish dishes.
Mouth-watering mains
The main menu offers a tempting variety of appetisers with ‘grazing’ dishes like toasted breads and beef dripping butter, a sharing board featuring duck wings, calamari and hand-cut nachos and a Mediterranean mezze with cured Braesola, marinated olives and spinach and feta bourekas.
If you’ve still got space for starters before the mains come out, let Miller & Carter tempt you with succulent dishes such as sticky chipotle chicken and black pearl scallops.
Grills and burgers
Besides its vast selection of steak, sides and sauces, Miller & Carter also offers a choice of grills including a slow cooked oaked smoked brisket and a lemon and rosemary lamb rump. For a lighter bite, you might be interested in a fish dish like their charcoal sea salt grilled sea bass or a mushroom and black truffle tagliatelle if you prefer a pasta. If you’re looking for something a little different, the Moroccan style superfood salad with roasted root vegetables, brown rice, quinoa and other goodies provides a heavenly bed for your choice of chicken breast, grilled goats cheese, salmon or juicy 8oz rump steak.

If you’re popping over for lunch, Miller & Carter does a fixed-price ‘lunch and catch-up’ menu from £10.95 with a selection of lighter starters, mains and desserts.
Younger diners are also catered for, with two courses from £7.95 and three from £9.95 on a special menu offering child-size salmon and beef fillets, meatball pasta, chicken and steak burgers.
If you manage to get all the way through to dessert and you’ve still got space for more, let Miller & Carter tempt you with its selection of puddings including a banoffee Bakewell tart, a chocolate and peanut butter fondant and an indulgent tasting plate of three favourites accompanied by a cheeky scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Miller & Carter is also a great destination for a family celebration. They love to make a fuss of your loved one with sharing options like the Butchers Block for Two where you can explore a variety of steak cuts and flavours. Or perhaps a classic Chateaubriand with 16oz of succulent steak for two. Other dishes for special occasions include lobster and chips – whole lobster and tempura lobster fritters – and a juicy lamb loin fillet.
If you’re not celebrating anything particularly special, why not join Miller & Carter for their Cork and Cleaver steak night from 6pm every Wednesday and toast the mid-week ‘hump’ day! For just £15 you get a 30-day aged juicy rump steak expertly grilled to your liking and accompanied by their trademark dressed iceberg lettuce wedge, a sauce of your choice, seasoned fries, a slice of crispy onion loaf and a grilled balsamic glazed tomato.
