Did you catch the worldwide smash hit musical Mamma Mia! staged live at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre for the very first time in August 2017? This two-week run was part of the musical’s first ever UK tour, visiting several venues up and down the country through 2017 and into 2018.
The production is a tale of family and friendships unfolding on a Greek Island paradise. It uses the timeless magic of ABBA’s songs to tell the story of a young girl’s quest to find her real father ahead of her nuptials, finding herself along the way.
The audience enjoyed an Abba extravaganza from the talented touring cast in the wake of the musical’s 17-year run in London’s West End.
In celebration of the musical’s arrival in town, Bournemouth Pavilion served up a taste of the Med with a limited-edition Greek-themed pre-show dining experience. Visitors got their Greek on with 2-4-1 themed cocktails from the Terrace Café and Theatre Bars to wash down a Greek feast of a sharing platter, souvlaki or moussaka main and baklava to finish.
