If you’re driving here yourself the hotel is not far from the main A338 into town and there is free parking at the hotel.
Central location
The Laguna is situated between the popular Westbourne part of town and Bournemouth town centre close to the main A338 “Wessex Way.” It’s just two miles from the main Bournemouth train and bus station and seven from Bournemouth airport. You can be on the beach in less than half an hour walking through the pleasure gardens all the way down through to the sea and the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and Pavilion Theatre are just over half a mile from here. Visitors for Bournemouth and Poole College or University’s Lansdowne campuses are a mile and a half from their destination when staying at the Laguna and Bournemouth University and Arts University’s Talbot campus is less than two miles in the other direction.
All rooms at the Laguna are ensuite, a mixture of singles, doubles, twins and family rooms with a bath or shower and there are also a number of rooms in the hotel annexe, set in the grounds of the main hotel. Every guest room has a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and there is free WiFi in every bedroom and all public areas. There is also a hotel laundry service (chargeable) if you need some washing done during your stay.
Holiday apartments
If you want a real home away from home, perhaps you’d like to stay in one of the Laguna’s self-catering holiday apartments, which range from one-roomed flatlets to one and two-bed flats accommodating up to a group of six. All accommodation is ensuite, comfortably furnished with lounge and dining furniture and equipped with televisions, bedside lights, refrigerator, electric cooker and kitchen gadgets and utensils. The apartments have their own free parking and they are situated in their own spacious grounds promising ultimate escapism.
Children welcome
Children of all ages are welcome to stay at the Laguna Hotel and under 1s stay completely free of charge when using existing beds in the room. Families with a child under 2 are charged £2 per night for the use of an additional cot or crib. Single sex parties and group bookings are welcome here subject to payment of a security deposit but pets cannot be accommodated.
Check-in is from 1pm and guests can check out any time between 8am and 10:30am on the last day of their stay. Luggage storage is available if you want to leave your bags here before your room is ready or after you have checked out.
Time to dine
The Laguna dining room is proud to serve quality English food for guests to enjoy. In the evenings, there are two sittings for a four-course table d’hote meal and there is also a dedicated children’s menu serving family favourites from burgers and sausages to fish fingers and chicken nuggets. For breakfast, there is a choice of cereals followed by a traditional full English plus toast and marmalade or jam.

The Laguna boasts a variety of leisure facilities if you want a quieter day staying around the property or change of pace after a long day at the shops or on the beach. There is an indoor heated swimming pool with spa bath, sauna and solarium – giving you the choice of swimming lengths or having a blissful soak in the (coin operated) spa bath, a spot of relaxation or even a tan top-up! There is also a games room on the premises if you want to challenge friends or family to impromptu game of table tennis or pool.
