Whether you’re a self-confessed fan of blues music or a music lover in general, you’ll appreciate the magnitude of John Mayall coming to play at Bournemouth’s historic Pavilion Theatre.
Dubbed ‘The Godfather of British Blues’, Mayall has enjoyed a 50-year career carving a path for British blues and helping to launch the careers of many of his 1960s The Bluesbreakers bandmates including Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Taylor.
Mayall’s 2017 tour has taken him across the USA and the UK playing 44 dates – the penultimate being in Bournemouth. With 64 albums under his belt and special guest and long-term collaborator Buddy Whittington by his side, this was an energetic and captivating musical extravaganza from a true blues pioneer.
