James Blunt made his return to touring in 2017 after an extended term in the studio (when he wasn’t entertaining the world with his quick quips and burns on Twitter). The Afterlove Tour landed with a fanfare at Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday 25 November 2017, coinciding with his fifth album of the same name.
New material on the album saw Blunt collaborate with a wide range of big-name writers and producers like Ed Sheeran and the teams behind Example, Biffy Clyro, Miley Cyrus and One Direction.
James Blunt took The Afterlove Tour on 140 dates over the course of a year across Europe, Asia, Australasia and South America. To date, he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and 12.8 million singles including his 2005 anthem ‘You’re Beautiful’, which topped the charts around the globe.
James Blunt’s previous appearance in the town was playing to sell-out crowds at the Bournemouth International Centre on his Moon Landing World Tour on 20 April 2014.
