If you want somewhere to stay in Bournemouth with a bit of pizazz, why not check in to Hotel Celebrity? This fabulous venue occupies a plum position between the town’s East Cliff and the town’s main shopping area – just two roads back from the beach.
Night with the stars
Hotel Celebrity prides itself on great value and clean rooms and it certainly gets glowing reviews. The rooms are themed on favourite famous faces, so you get to “spend the night with your favourite celebrity,” while the supposed lesser names are relegated to framed shrines and tributes along the corridors. Perhaps you dream of being surrounded by girl and boy bands or wish you could cosy on down with Lawrence of Arabia.
Ample accommodation
The 55 bedrooms offer single, twin, double, family and accessible accommodation and there is even a handful of superior rooms, which are the largest rooms in the hotel and newly renovated for that star treatment. Call the hotel direct if you’re after one of their few budget rooms and they’ll confirm availability over the phone.
The bedrooms are all en-suite and come with 32-inch colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, a courtesy tray and complimentary WiFi in the bedrooms and throughout the hotel. You can request a hairdryer, iron and board, extra heaters, fans, new towels and refreshments from reception.
Accessible rooms
Guests with mobility difficulties are reassured that the bedrooms occupy two floors of the hotel, each of which is completely level, with no steps and there is a lift that calls at each floor.
Hotel Celebrity has two accessible bedrooms, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley, designed for wheelchair use but suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Either room can be set up as twin or double according to your preference. The bedroom and bathroom doors are extra wide, as are the corridors leading to these rooms. The plug sockets and switches are at waist height and furniture designed for ease of use. The accessible bathroom is a full wet room with support bars and a wheel-in shower with seat.
Everyone welcome!
Children of all ages are welcome to stay at the hotel and one extra bed or cot can be added into a double or a twin room on request. Under 16s are charged £15 per night for extra beds. If you’re an animal lover, you’ll be delighted to learn that Hotel Celebrity welcomes dogs to stay for a charge of £15 per night and a maximum of £30 per stay.
Check-in is any time from 3pm and check out is until 11am on the final day of your stay. There is a luggage storage area in reception if you want to leave your bags here while you explore the town or take one last look at the beach. The front desk is open 24 hours if you need any help during your stay. If you’ve brought any valuables you can store them in a safety deposit box for safekeeping until they’re needed.
Touch of luxury
Hotel Celebrity has gone to the unique and admirable lengths of shunning traditional chemical hotel laundries in favour of familiar brand products to wash the bedding themselves for that fresh-off-the-line fragrance.
Combine this with the water softening equipment installed to combat the town’s very hard water and you’ll emerge from your stay feeling a million dollars! They’ve even spared thought for those who don’t like the taste of softened water by providing fresh water dispensers on each floor of the hotel.
Big breakfast
Breakfast is served in the Hollywood restaurant and is an “all you can eat” affair including cereal, toast, tinned and fresh fruit, juices, tea and coffee plus a hot buffet of all the full English favourites including fried bread, grilled tomatoes, fried eggs, sausages, potatoes and mushrooms. Go back as many times as you want.
Room service
Breakfast is served Monday to Friday between 7am and 10am and on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 8am to 10:30am. If your breakfast window falls outside of these hours, a continental breakfast can be served, by prior arrangement. You can also opt for room service if you’ve got yourself comfy and can’t bear to drag yourself out of the boudoir – even for a bacon sarnie!
Dine at Divas
The hotel’s Divas restaurant serves a celebrity-themed evening meal that’s more like a who’s who of big-name performers and dishes such as Beyonce’s fillet of salmon, Richard Burton’s shank of lamb followed, of course, by none other than Clooney’s chocolate profiteroles! Divas is open for evening meals every night from 6.30pm to 9:30pm.
Stage your event
Hotel Celebrity is a great place to host your private event. While there is a room hire charge, if 15% of the bar takings cover this fee you get the room completely free. Whether you want a full sit-down meal or a buffet, the hotel can cater for your event. If you’re planning a wedding reception with a red-carpet twist, Hotel Celebrity can lay on a choice of three wedding breakfast menus, three evening buffet options and either of these dazzling line-ups on a mix-and-match basis so you can style your event to match your guest list.
Hollywood or Birdcage?
If you want to lay on a large sit-down meal for up to 140 people or a soiree for 200, the hotel’s Hollywood Restaurant and Bar will more than accommodate your party with a large sprung dance floor and access to the back garden. A medium-sized gathering can be accommodated in the Birdcage Lounge and Bar, which fits 130 people standing and up to 80 seated. This room is a great venue for a disco and guests have access to the outside patio area.
For a small do, why not take the celebrations to the hotel’s main Divas Dining Room, which seats up to 40 guests? If you want something a little less formal still, Hotel Celebrity is happy to serve in the garden, patio and bar areas. Once your special day is over, why not stay the night in the bridal suite to start your married life in style.

Hotel Celebrity is a popular place to do business, with meeting and banqueting facilities available to impress and host your delegates.
