Whether you’re a fan of Griff Rhys Jones for the Welsh comedian’s stand-up, for his sketches, his books or travelogues, there’s bound to be a part of his colourful career that has resonated with you – or at very least made you gaffaw.
From his formative years working for ground-breaking BBC television sketch shows like Not the Nine O’Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones to his more recent presenting, acting and writing projects, Griff has covered the world – down rivers in boats, up mountains on trains, across desert and jungle – as well as tackling the relative trauma of the BBC canteen!
His live show, “Where Was I?” explored the many encounters and anecdotes Griff has accumulated over his 40-years-and-counting media career, sharing stories, reminiscences and self-confessed “outright lies” he stumbled across along the way. Griff Rhys Jones: Where Was I? played at Christchurch’s beautiful Regent Centre theatre on Friday 9 February 2018.
