We’re extremely fortunate to live so close to the sea. But have you ever ventured underwater to look at the stunning sealife we share our coastline with?
Divers Down in Swanage is a dedicated dive school – the oldest in the country – established back in 1958. It’s ideally placed, as sea creatures as attracted to the town’s old wooden pier. You could spot cuttlefish, edible crabs, lobster, Tompot Blenny, sand eels and many other species in this fascinating underwater world. And there are a variety of intriguing wrecks to explore in the deeper water a little further out of the bay where even more marine life prefer to lurk.
If you’d rather observe the wonders of the Jurassic coast without getting wet, Divers Down also runs sightseeing trips in the summer months.
