You know the “Holidays are Coming” when the Coca-Cola truck rolls into town. Bournemouth welcomed this all-singing, all-blinging festive monster of a vehicle on the 23 and 24 November 2017 as it parked up in The Triangle to spread its very own brand of Christmas cheer.
The 13-tonne, 4.1-metres tall Coca-Cola truck is always a spectacle, bedecked with 372 bulbs and 8,772 fairy lights twinkling in the dusk as festive fans queue up to take selfies and bag their free sample of Coca-Cola Zero, Diet or Classic. New for 2017, visitors could even project their snaps onto the side of the famous truck while those who came after sun-down enjoyed a special animation about the magic of Christmas with Coca-Cola.
The Christmas Truck has been touring since 2011, covering 730,000 miles in this time – that’s the equivalent to driving 29 times around the world!
Bournemouth was the 16th of 42 stops up and down the UK that the Christmas truck is making between 11 November and 17 December, ringing in the unofficial start of the festive season in what is incredibly the 22nd year of the catchy Holidays are Coming advert!
