The Club Grand Bingo in Westbourne finally dabbed its last card on Monday 22 January 2018 after 40 years of trading. Before its four decades’ spell as a bingo hall this ornate venue was Bournemouth’s Grand Cinema, which opened on 18 December 1922 with a screening of Anthony and Cleopatra and delighted the film-going public for half a century. Let’s hope this beautiful Grade II Listed building gets a new lease of life very soon.
