If you’ve chosen to come to our wonderful seaside town to pursue your education at Bournemouth University (BU), you’re going to want to come for the Fresher’s Fair. Not only will you get a comprehensive initiation into Bournemouth life to top off Welcome Week One but it also comes with the assurance it will be a great event worth getting up for – SUBU’s (Student Union of Bournemouth University) 2016 event was voted the best in the country.
Come down to the main Talbot Campus between 11am and 3pm to browse a bespoke exhibition showcasing all the student union clubs and societies, sports teams, local and BU groups plus local and national businesses, live entertainment, sports demos, music, food and drink.
Everyone welcome
The event is free to attend for all of Bournemouth University’s 18,000 students – whether you’ve just finished your first week away from home and want a few ideas to fully embrace Bournemouth life or you’re further on with your studies but want to make sure you’ve not been missing out. Students with accessibility requirements or sensory needs are welcome to access the show from 10am before the hoards descend and the volume is cranked up.
From shops and restaurants offering student discounts or weekend work to 100s of SUBU clubs and societies and over 60 sports teams looking for new team mates and members, volunteering and fundraising opportunities there are so many ways to get engaged in university life. And there are lots of freebies and deals up for grabs too. So, come and see the whole University and make sure you’re a part of it at the 2018 Freshers’ Fair.
