Sitting pride of place right at the front of Bournemouth’s prestigious Highcliff Marriott Hotel, Brasserie Blanc is a French restaurant inspired and influenced by the work of popular chef Raymond Blanc. The Bournemouth restaurant is the twentieth in his portfolio, each one designed to make patrons feel comfortable and welcome – as if they were a guest in Maman Blanc’s own home.

Drop in to Brasserie Blanc for that first coffee of your long day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast with the morning papers, meet friends for lunch, treat clients to a coffee and pastry, order cocktails with your colleagues to toast the end of a long week or bring your partner for a slap-up French feast! This restaurant provides a fitting venue for every occasion.
Brasserie Blanc is open from 6:30am to 10:30am on weekdays and 7am to 11am at the weekend, serving an extensive breakfast and brunch menu. Lunch is available from 12:30pm and the restaurant is open until 10:30pm Monday to Friday, 11pm on Saturdays and 9pm on Sundays for evening meals and post-theatre nibbles.
Flexible dining
Brasserie Blanc welcomes hotel guests and visitors, with a bar, brasserie and terrace area so you can pick your venue while enjoying unrivalled views across Bournemouth bay. It’s a popular venue so make sure you book in advance where possible to secure your table. Why not share a delicious charcuterie platter with a chilled glass of wine out on the terrace or sample a cocktail or two in the bar? The terrace welcomes well-behaved dogs too so don’t forget to stop by if you’re enjoying a stroll along the promenade with your four-legged friend.
Classiques and contemporary
The seasonal a la carte menu features signature French fayre alongside contemporary European dishes. For each course, you can choose from ‘les classiques,’ which are more traditional French food and a variety of other finely crafted plates.
Why not opt for an aperitif while you browse the menu – perhaps trempettes (olive tapenade, saffron garlic mayonnaise, virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, baguette) or the anchovy appetiser. Then an entrée, perhaps potted Cromer crab, the ‘BB’ cheese soufflé or the inevitable plate of escargots alongside a medley of colourful salads steak tartare and moules marinieres.
Delicious mains
Variety and flavour are at the heart of the main course choices at Brasserie Blanc. If you’re a seafood lover try the Malabar fish curry or delicious salmon and crab fishcakes. Fancy sharing? Then dive into the wonderful Coq au Vin with guinea fowl rich red wine sauce. But if you prefer something vegetarian then the black truffle and wild mushroom risotto is a real treat.
If you’ve got room for dessert, why not sample Brasserie Blanc’s trademark pistachio soufflé, the warm chocolate torte or the fabulous creme brûlée with homemade marmalade. There is an extensive wine list plus cocktails, spirits, liqueurs and beers plus a selection of nibbles and appetisers if you’re popping in for a catch-up over drinks.
Warm welcome for all
The team at Brasserie Blanc are able to cater for guests with food allergies and intolerances. There is a dedicated gluten free and dairy free menu, with many of the restaurant mains adapted to accommodate every dietary requirement. Children are also catered for with a dedicated ‘Henri le Worm’ menu offering a main, side and dessert for £6.95. Bigger kids (aged 8-12) can choose to have half a portion of some of the dishes from the a la carte menu for half the price.
