In today’s modern society, choice is almost unlimited and people are getting married all over the world. Choosing Bournemouth as the location for your wedding comes with an array of venues, ceremonies and themes that will leave no-one disappointed. You may want a big white wedding with all of the trimmings, or something more private and intimate between you and a few loved-ones.
Bournemouth is special for several reasons, but most recently because it has been granted the only license in England and Wales to conduct marriages right here, on the beach. Nowhere else in the country can offer this spectacular venue and couples have flocked from across the globe to experience the wedding of a lifetime. Bournemouth has developed it’s very own Wedding Hut, a beautiful Marquee designed and built especially for weddings.
You and your families can experience the wedding ceremony in beautiful surroundings on the beach conducted by a Registrar from the Bournemouth Registration Service, followed by food and drinks in a separate marquee erected to suit your needs and numbers.
You’ll be pleased to know that all structures are completely British Weather-Proof too! Additionally, you can take your guests in the Cliff Lift or party on the Land Train.
Bournemouth Beach Weddings hold two Open Days each year, for you and your partner to come and visit, look around and speak to the experts to ensure you are fully satisfied for your big day. This year, the Open Days are Sunday 28th April and Sunday 6th October.
If you are looking for something more private, Bournemouth Town Hall offers a range of ceremonies in a prestigious building, amongst impressive gardens in the heart of Bournemouth. The Council Chamber room oozes Victorian style, with oak furnishings and a feeling of grandeur.
Fitting 130 people you can bring the whole family for your ceremony. The Willows room features crystal Chandeliers and seats 50 people, for a more informal occasion, without missing out on style. The Registry Office holds 10 people and makes for an intimate and special ceremony, without the pomp and circumstance.
Another popular option is Highcliffe Castle, for a ceremony surrounded by history and class. Overlooking Christchurch Bay, the Castle has sat on the cliff-top since 1836 and comprises 14 acre Parklands with access to the beach.
The friendly staff can provide caterers, a Registrar and there is a large carpark, so no-one will be late due to looking desperately for a space. Supporting the conservation of this historic listed building can be an added bonus to your day.
There are also a number of prestigious and popular hotels that can make your day perfect from the start. Hallmark Hotel, The Elstead Hotel, The Ocean View Hotel are all extremely popular destinations- and for good reason.
The service provided is excellent, customisation right down to the décor so you start your married life completely satisfied.
Whatever you want for your special day, you can find it in Bournemouth.
