Bournemouth Christmas Market

It’s time to get into the festive mood with the Bournemouth Christmas Festival on now!

Over the past seven years the Christmas Festivities in Bournemouth have gone from strength to strength and this year is promising to be the best ever.

With fine cuisine, entertainment, traditional celebrations and original gifts and ideas for Christmas- everything you need will be in one place.

The Christmas Festival is inspired by the Traditional German Markets, consisting of purpose built quaint chalets and bars that bring a magical atmosphere to the coastline.

With so much already on its way, what are the must-see events for this year’s celebration?

New to the event this year is the German Alpine Bar, providing a selection of Authentic German beers, mulled wine and cuisine- try the German Sausages for a spicy treat at the Bratwurst House.

If that’s not something you fancy, try some traditional roasted chestnuts to provide a warm Christmas glow, or a tasty coffee and crepe.

Whatever your taste-buds say, there is something for the whole family to get their teeth into.

If you’re interested in buying original and endearing gifts for your nearest and dearest, visit the exhibitor chalets.

There are independent gift-stores from all over Europe to ensure you find the perfect present for whoever you are buying for.

Many of the products are hand-crafted and made with natural materials- even if you are not going to shop, the skill and craftsmanship is definitely worth a wander around this area.

The Town Square will be decorated for the season, with festive lights and our traditional Christmas tree.

Here you will be able to join in with Carol Singing, Christmas Karaoke and a selection of local entertainment to keep you and your family warm on the cold nights leading to Christmas.

A selection of Bournemouth Churches will also be holding productions, band and choir events in the square.

All of this starts on the 13th November and doesn’t finish until 4th January 2015.

This month the festival is open from 10am -6pm Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday.

However, the festivities are so jam-packed from 9th December that events will be happening from 10am-8pm Monday to Saturday.

All the way until Christmas Eve, come and celebrate the best holiday of the year in Bournemouth.

Whether you come for a day or a break, you’ll find lots to do in the festival and the town to keep yourself and your family in the Christmas spirit.
