Have you been inspired by the endeavours of those plucky individuals who take on incredible assault courses in the name of Saturday night television? Are you up for the challenge of a beach-based obstacle course in the name of the RNLI? Are you ready to brave the Sandstorm?
Brave the waves
RNLI Sandstorm is a brand new beach assault course spanning 5k from Bournemouth’s iconic Pier. It’s a real test of strength and determination as you brave the waves on a series of gruelling challenges including running the giant ‘Dunes,’ tackling the ‘Scrambler’ cargo net and hauling yourself up the ‘Coastal Clamber’ frame.
Make your way over the waves on the ‘Crossbeam’ balance beam, dunk and dive under the Breathtaker barrier and haul yourself up the ‘Cliffhanger wall.’
There are 20 obstacles to tackle over the 5k course and if that all seems like a walk (run!) in the park you could always do it twice and make it a 10k challenge!
Saving lives at sea
Participants must be 18 years old and can enter as a team or individually.
Entry fee is £45 for the 5k challenge and £50 for the 10k. All profits from ticket sales and sponsorship go towards the RNLI’s lifesaving work.
