With festival season firmly underway, there’s really no need to spend hours of your life trekking to Reading, Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight or even further afield. Instead, why not celebrate the beauty on your doorstep and the talents of a variety of musical acts at the popular Poole Harbour Festival?
The event kicks off at 5pm on Friday 29 July at Baiter Park and continues until 9pm on the Sunday evening. For the price of your ticket you get 30 live music acts across two stages and 30 stalls of street food, world cuisine, local crafts and produce. If you dance up a thirst, you simply sashay down to festival beer tent, serving real ales and refreshing ciders as well as a variety of soft drinks.
The musical line-up for this ever-expanding event is impressive. There’s a strong mix of tribute acts for artists from the Stereophonics (Stereotonics) to Oasis (Oasish), the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Really Hot Chili Peppers) and Prodigy (The Jilted Generation).
Add to this more than a little sprinkling of fun for the kids, with children’s entertainers, circus skills, cartoon character favourites and storytelling shows and you’ve got yourself a weekend’s worth of entertainment and hearty cooking with the iconic backdrop of Poole’s majestic harbour.
