Wrapping up the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s spectacular Proms in the Park season in Meyrick Park for summer 2017, Sunday in the Park is a musical fun day designed to appeal to the whole family.
The full BSO is conducted by Victor Aviat (fresh from Friday’s John Williams event) and Pete Harrison (who governed over Saturday’s Queen spectacular) and accompanied by Inspiration Choir Southampton to entertain the masses with an afternoon of well-known classics to provide a fitting finale to this stunning symphonic festival.
Gates open at midday for picnics and the music strikes up at 1pm for a packed afternoon of entertainment from the festival stage. The BSO will be showcasing all its fantastic projects, with participation events and shorter performances to get the whole crowd involved.
From the matinee orchestral concert to the BSO-accompanied Inspiration Choir finale, plus chances to create your own music and take part in games and activities, what a fitting way to close these landmark shows.
